This year’s range of goods feature all new designs by Atsuko Ogawa, the Sado-based illustrator who created our new logo. Check out the fun illustrations inspired by the rich natural landscape of Sado Island and the concept behind the logo—a vibrant, plentiful place with an ever-increasing circle of arts and exchange.
We’ll have capsule machines in Ogi selling EC keyrings, too. It’s the perfect little memento of EC 2022 to take home for yourself or as a gift.

EC 2022 keyrings will be available from capsule machines in Ogi (Sado Island) from mid-July until Aug. 21.
Inspired by nature, this year’s EC t-shirt is moss green. On the front, you’ll see someone wearing a Kodo costume, perched amongst lush foliage. On the back, there’s a little tomoe motif. Made from three comma-like swirls said to represent a whirlpool, the tomoe pattern is regarded as a good omen in Japan. It’s the talisman adorning some of Kodo’s larger drums.
The beautiful pink toki (crested ibis) that lives on Sado Island was the inspiration for this year’s EC towel color choice. It’s the perfect size to wear as a sports towel on a hot summer’s day.
Note: In the photos, the color of the towel appears a little lighter than the actual color. Please refer to the design graphic below to see the color accurately.
EC 2022 Capsule-Machine Keyrings (Only Available on Sado Island)
This year we’ll have capsule machines in Ogi selling EC keyrings that feature cute designs by Atsuko Ogawa. There’s seven illustrations in all, including Kodo members performing and the new EC logo.
They’ll be available from mid-July to mid-August in the lead up to EC at Rikiya Kanko Kisen in Ogi. During EC, the capsule machine will be in front of Marine Plaza Ogi.
Numbers are limited! It’s the perfect little memento of EC 2022 to take home for yourself or as a gift.
