GETTING TO SADO ISLAND
Getting to Sado Island
There are two ferry routes between mainland Niigata and Sado Island: Niigata Port–Ryotsu Port and Naoetsu Port–Ogi Port.
Along with the main event venues in the Ogi area, this year there will also be events and activities held further afield on Sado Island.
From Tokyo, you can travel by bullet train to Joetsu Myoko Stn., take a bus or taxi to Naoetsu Port, and then travel by jetfoil to Ogi.
Alternatively, you can travel by bullet train from Tokyo to Niigata, take a bus or taxi to Niigata Port, and take a car ferry or jetfoil to Ryotsu, which is one hour by car from Ogi.
